Transcription: manual transcription of voice messages (audio/video) into text. Examples: Interviews, podcasts, tutorials, etc. Please also refer to our Website. for a detailed description of the competencies. This tutorial consists of four parts and lasts a maximum of 60 minutes in total:

1. In the first part you will learn the most common transcription rules and you will get tips on how to correctly estimate the effort of a transcription task. Duration: approx. 20 minutes.
2. In the second part you can test your typing speed and practice your typing later on. Duration: max. approx. 20 minutes
3. In the third part we will show you which free tools you can use to create a transcript if needed. Duration: max. 10 minutes.
4. In the fourth and last part you will demonstrate your newly acquired knowledge. Duration: max. 10 minutes.

If you pass the competence check, you will receive the Transcription with Basic Skills Competency. If you didn’t pass, we’ll let you know what the problem was so you can improve in the relevant areas and try again later.
